There are many ways to get your message across to Washington, D.C. influencers. Research reports, white papers, and other 'long-form' content continue to be popular and influential. But as more and more D.C. insiders turn to social media and other high tempo digital channels, you may need to adapt some new techniques to remain relevant and top-of-mind.

Short-form content like Twitter posts, infographics, and other visual media are useful formats to adopt. A long, dry research report wouldn't perform very well if promoted across social media. But if you create a visually stunning image with one interesting finding from the research, that could perform well on social media or even in an email.
